Buried under the terrible news about Paris was the sad death of comedian Warren Mitchell.
His role as Alf Garnett in the classic BBC sitcom Till Death do Us Part and later with In Sickness And Health bought laughter to millions with his character.
The shows would probably give today's politically correct and safe space adherents an apoplectic fit, but for the majority of people with a proper sense of proportion and humour Alf was the man!
Rest in Peace Warren. You will be missed.
You do know that it was a parody?
