Eurovision Controversy and sneak peak at the French entry!

This years Eurovision has been marred in controversy ever since the Israeli entry won the contest last year. The anti-Semites Zionists from the BDS and various other far-left and supposedly anti-imperialist organisations have been calling for a boycott. The BBC has rejected any such notion as the event is non-political. Well sort of, but that's just in the voting.

These shrill calls seem contradicted by the fact Israel's entry got more than enough votes to win. Not mine I have to admit. I remain perplexed at Natta Barzlai's song winning. But what do I know. I haven't picked a winner in years, though my fiance has. She won a bet on the Finnish entry some years back.

Meanwhile the latest news is that Madonna is to perform and her appearance will be paid for by an Israeli-Canadian entrepreneur. Good for him. Madge is usually worth watching.

In sadder and more disturbing news Bilal Hassani a French-Moroccan gay singer appearing  for France has received death threats from anti-Israel activists.Hardly "peace activists" are they? Mind you these people also threaten him with death because he's gay. Bilal himself is looking forward to enjoying the gay scene in Israel. The only place in the Middle East it's safe to be gay. Note that LGBT for Palestine supporters.

The latest problem however is the withdrawal of the leading Israeli entry due to Sabbath requirements. Shame really they are a group made up of individuals with a variety of disabilities. Hopefully the Israeli's will find a replacement shortly.

Anyway as a tribute to the bravery of Bilal Hassani in standing up to the violent bullies here's his entry. Not bad. I hope he does well. Too early to decide who my vote goes to! I still love the Polish milkmaids. Got 12 points from the UK.....mine among them! Sad gits we Brits are!!!
