I cannot think of anywhere I would like to be less than Marxism 2013 (well maybe the dentist) but a few hundred people have braved the heat to sit in stuffy rooms or park their backsides on the grass outside to listen to the ramblings of the SWP or their erstwhile supporters now in the ISN.
All in all it seems to have been a much quieter affair than anticipated, though given it still has a day to run and there are fringe events from which reports have yet to emerge the expected "blood letting" has not taken place.
Update: As soon as I posted the above comment this was brought to my attention:
The owners of the venue the University of London Students Union issued a statement in which they made some allusions to the future of their premises being used by the SWP. I have previously covered this story at Harry's Place here, but some background to this has emerged in a statement issued by the Alliance for Workers Liberty (AWL) which shows there was actually some debate as to whether ULU should cancel the booking. Interestingly they also talked about the Socialist Party event in November.
