Islam: A Religion In Denial

Photo: By Anne Look

The recent terrorist attack in Melbourne shocked Australia and caused their Prime Minister to comment:

"We would be kidding ourselves if we did not call out the fact that the greatest threat of religious extremism in this country is the radical and dangerous ideology of extremist Islam"

And yet a number of leading Islamic organisations are in denial and demand an apology. For what exactly? Telling the truth?

I don't see Buddhists, Christians or any other religion preaching holy war and Jihad against us, the democratic West. Just "Islamic extremists" and the Muslim community in every country, let alone Australia or the United Kingdom has a duty to ensure that these elements do not use their Mosques and Institutions to preach such extremism.

Of course much of what motivates Jihadists is actually both in the Koran and the Hadiths and it's clear so many conservative Muslims have brought their intolerance to our societies and refuse to integrate.

The Australian reports:

Mohammed Omran, the emir of the Hume Islamic Youth Centre close to Shire Ali’s Meadow Heights home, dismissed the “bloody Prime Minister’s’’ call for imams to do more to stop Islamic extremists, saying the greatest power he had was to dial triple-0 when confronted with a threat...

Sheik Omran’s outburst at the Prime Minister comes as The Australian can reveal that Shire Ali’s partner, who has been radicalised, is not co-operating with investigators trying to reconstruct the terrorist’s last movements.

Such arrogance from people that supposedly came to the West for a better life.

But they are far from alone. In the USA two Muslims have been elected to Congress one is also Somalian. The New York Post reports:

The 2018 midterm will bring many new faces to Washington, but few will find as much adoration as Ilhan Omar. One of the first two Muslim women elected to Congress, Omar, who will represent Minnesota’s 5th Congressional District, is a Somali refugee with a celebrity aura and an uplifting story.

What went curiously unmentioned in all the flattering post-election coverage, however, was that Omar, who replaces Keith Ellison — a former acolyte of anti-Semitic minister Louis Farrakhan — also has some exotic notions about the Jewish people.

In a 2012 tweet, for instance, the Democrat explained that “Israel has hypnotized the world, may Allah awaken the people and help them see the evil doings of Israel. #Gaza #Palestine #Israel.”

Meanwhile, the other Muslim woman headed to Congress is Michigan Democrat Rashida Tlaib, the daughter of Palestinian immigrants who wants to cut aid to the Jewish state because supporting it “doesn’t fit the values of our country.”

The last comment is laughable. Is this woman aware of her gender are treated as second class citizens across 57 Muslim countries. What about the rights of gays, apostates or non-believers?

Then there's plight of religious minorites like Coptic Christians in Egypt, Bahai's in Iran and Yemen? Then there's Christians in Pakistan. Asia Bibi ring a bell bitch?

I'll let David Harsanyi answer that one:

To accuse the only democratic state in the Middle East, which grants more liberal rights to its Muslim citizens than any Arab nation, of being an “apartheid regime,” is, on an intellectual level, grossly disingenuous or incredibly ignorant. And when a politician singles out Jewish allies as “evil,” but ignores every brutal theocratic regime in the area, it’s certainly noteworthy.

When will the West wake up?
