Why are the left silent over the fate of Asia Bibi?

One of the most important human rights issues at the moment is the fate of Assia Bibi and her family persecuted for but now declared innocent of blasphemy by an appeal court. Hordes of Islamists have taken to the streets demanding her death. The regime has sought to defuse the situation by banning Asia from leaving the country.

Her lawyer has already fled for his life and the Judges who acquitted Asia are now also under threat, The leaders of the mobs have also been seditious in calling on the army to mutiny. Yet the regime just crumbles instead of confronting this evil.

Pakistan is now a broken country.

Asylum must be given by either the UK or some other Western nation. They must be allowed to travel to a safe country away from these savages to whom reason and basic humanity is unknown.

On Facebook I have put up several posts about Asia Bibi over the last few days. In the latest one a left-wing blogger decided to criticise me for describing the baying mobs as "savages". This was racist he told me because the people were "brown skinned". Right. The woman that I (and others want saved) is also "brown skinned" and it is not race but the actions of the mob.

I also challenged him more than once to look at the danger Asia is in. Not once could he bring himself to condemn the threat against her. Eventually the subject of Israel was raised (there's a surprise) and he asked how I would like them to be called savages. Besides being totally irrelevant to this discussion the critics of Israel use a whole raft of expressions to attack Israel and call for the death of Jews (not just Zionists these day, just Jews).

Trouble is this blogger is not alone in his silence over the threat to Asia Bibi. Neither The SWP, Socialist Party, Socialist Appeal, Momentum or the Morning Star even bother with it. Of the left wing blogs only Tendance Coatsey run by Andrew Coates has taken up the cause.

Why are the left silent?

The left do not wish to upset or alienate the Islamic world with trivial issues like Human Rights. They forgot about Women's rights and gays in Muslim countries a long time ago which is why you see so-called gay rights groups backing homophobic organisations like Hamas.

The left see Israel as an object for destruction as they foolishly think it will help bring around the collapse of International Capitalism and the Muslim world will be their allies. Frankly these godless communists and their identity freak followers would all be executed under Sharia.

The communists, Trotskyists and their fellow travellers are welcome to their delusions but the rest of humanity needs to stand up for human rights for everyone. Women. Gays, Jews, Christians and everyone else threatened by the the Islamists and their lefty apologists.

• Free Asia Bibi! Demand that she and her family are brought to a safe country and settled secretly to avoid them being hunted down by the savages that threaten their lives.

• Pakistan must repeal it's blasphemy laws. The law of blasphemy must be abolished in every country.

The left are cowards who cannot be trusted with our rights or our freedoms.
