The sad news of the passing of Lemmy from Motorhead has been all over the news today. He was one of the few that lived the real, rather than pretend "rock and roll" lifestyle and will be remembered for his music in two of my favourite bands.
I first heard of Lemmy when Silver Machine reached number 3 in the charts way back in 1972. This long haired schoolboy was one of many who rushed out to buy this single and Hawkwind's subsequent albums.
Then Lemmy got arrested for drugs and was kicked out of the band.
Motorhead was born.....
